The Main House was originally the spacious main barn which has been architecturally designed/renovated for space and volume and maximum sunshine. The 6m (20’) high ceiling and exposed original beams have all been preserved.

1st Floor

Spacious open living room with tile floors and an authentic massive Louis XIII stone fireplace. Plenty of firewood provided, if you need it. Just above the stone staircase there is a magnificent oeil de boeuf (round window) to let in the spectacular, bursting-with-color sunsets! The open-floor plan flows into a large Dining Room that seats 8-10 and just outside the french doors is a Dining Terrace which can accommodate 20. The centerpiece of the large, open-plan kitchen is a massive 6’ square limestone counter to accommodate everyone cooking together and cooking classes.

It is fully equipped with KitchenAid mixer, Cuisine, Nespresso espresso machine, ice cream maker, rice cooker, toaster, oven, stovetop, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Outside the kitchen is yet another beautiful view of the rolling fields of the countryside. Off the Mud/Entry room you will find a large buanderie (laundry room) with an American GE washing machine, sink, dryer, iron. ironing board, etc., at your disposal.

2nd Floor

A graceful stone staircase leads to Master Suite with King-size bed and large bathroom with shower & bidet. The balcony overlooks the spectacular – panoramic view. It leads directly to the adjoining separate-entrance Guest Suite which we call the “Children’s Quarters”.  This Suite has two twin beds & en suite bathroom, with separate entrance which can be approached from either the Master Bedroom balcony or staircase from the garden. This Guest Suite is about volume & space with 6 meter ceiling (18’high) and exposed original beams, pierre apparente walls and the original wood floors.  Country views from every window.

Amenities

Wi-Fi and telephone. DVD players & screens in both Main House and the Guest House. A library of DVDs & CDs, board games, cards and puzzles for your enjoyment. For your pleasure, there is  a hammock situated on the property, small outdoor BBQ, ping-pong table, child’s swing and a  petanque/boule court under the enormous Tilleul tree…and acres of fields for flying a kite or playing frisbee. Maid Service can be arranged for an additional fee.
